CLASS 2 LONG TERM PLANNINGCURRICULUM POLICIES

In Class Two we aim to support the development of independence of children both academically and personally as they transition from the EYFS into Key Stage One. Phonics and early number continue to play a big part of Key Stage 1 as your child continues to expand on their knowledge of reading, writing and counting through a more structured approach to learning. However, the children in Class Two will also continue to learn by exploring and discovering through a ‘hands on’ approach to learning that follows the pupil’s interests.

We have high expectations of our children but we also have huge amounts of fun and laughter along the way through our exciting termly topics based around the children’s interests and experiences, which include: Heroes and Heroines; Journeys around the World; and The Great Outdoors.
